SINOPSIS:
Villa de Rota, año 1877. Juan es un humilde hortelano de la mayetería gaditana que sufre el robo de 40 calabazas. Decidido a encontrarlas, se dirige al mercado de abastos e identifica sus frutos en uno de los puestos. Sin embargo, debe agudizar el ingenio para aportar pruebas fehacientes y que el Juez de Abastos le tome en consideración. Basado en un relato de Pedro Antonio de Alarcón.
